Did you know that about 85% of drivers are speeding when they pass Cairo-Durham Middle/High School? That is almost 9 out of every 10 vehicles! Despite this finding from a 2016 New York State Department of Transportation traffic study, the DOT denied the Cairo-Durham Central School District's request to install a traffic signal in front of the school on Route 145. Therefore, we are focusing on driver education and developing traffic safety campaigns to encourage safe and cautious driving.
On Thursday, September 28, join CDHS' Responsible Adolescent Peer Program (RAPP) for a free movie and panel discussion focused on drug use PREVENTION and RECOVERY. All are encouraged to come watch the film, ask questions, speak on the topic and/or hear about what can be done to win the war against opioid abuse.
