Nine Mustangs Join National Honor Society

New NHS inductees and school administrators

Nine CDHS students were inducted into the National Honor Society on Thursday, October 11, 2018.

Congratulations to the following new NHS members: Laney Bruck, Jennifer Cuti, Cali Ely, Trisha Gagne, Christina Markiewicz, Kirstyn Peterson, Ashley Powel, Emily Stiverson and Ashley Vaughn.

Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student in recognizing the total individual. National Honor Society members are individuals who have distinguished themselves in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Students who have demonstrated scholarship with an 85 cumulative average after a minimum of three semesters are eligible for consideration. A Faculty Council makes the selection using input from the entire faculty, letters of recommendation, the students' academic records, extra-curricular resumes and reflection statements.
