The CDE Student Council is hosting its first "Pint-Size Hero" blood drive on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 2-6 p.m. in the CDE large cafeteria. This is an opportunity for elementary students to bring in a parent, grandparent, or other adult they know to donate lifesaving blood.
Prior to the blood drive, some students will be learning about the American Red Cross and Clara Barton, the pioneering founder of the organization.
Cairo-Durham Central School District voters approved the district's $30,103,377 budget for the 2017-18 school year with 273 in favor and 143 opposed. Additionally, voters approved the bus proposition to allow the district to purchase five (5) school buses by 290 yes votes to 126 no votes.
Phil Decker Jr., a 9th grade student at Cairo-Durham High School and member of the varsity bowling team, qualified for the 2017 Junior Gold Championship. The national bowling competition is an annual tournament for the best youth bowlers in the United States. Participants in the prestigious competition have the opportunity to win scholarships as well as earn a spot on Junior Team USA.
Join us for the Student vs. Faculty basketball game on Friday, May 19 at 6 p.m.! Admission is $2 and the proceeds will benefit the Interact Club. The best part? The losers get pied! We hope to see you in the Cairo-Durham High School gym for a fun game.
