We are very interested in the perspective of our district families and believe it is an important part of our planning. Our family/school partnership is central to our students’ successes. We are asking our district families (including students) to help us improve our school/community partnerships by taking The Family Engagement Survey.
You can complete this simple survey by clicking the link below and entering the password (which is Family2017). It is available in English and Spanish. The survey will be open from March 13 to April 13, 2017.
Cairo-Durham Elementary School is conducting orientation, registration and screening for students entering Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten in September 2017.
Student leaders of the Responsible Adolescent Peer Program (RAPP) hosted a tabling event during lunches on February 14 to spotlight “teen dating violence awareness.”
Students played a “health pong” game, completed anonymous surveys about teen relationships, and signed a “foot” to “recognize the signs-one step at a time” to end teen dating violence. The Public Health Department provided giveaways, including drawstring bags, t-shirts, chapstick, keychains and stress balls.
Several students in Grades K-12 had their artwork selected for the Greene County Council on the Arts youth exhibit, "Outside the Lines." Congratulations to CDHS students Phebe Cunningham, Saylor Lewtschenko, Jean Bailey, Journey Rivenburgh, Fitore Hoti, Grace Menear, Gianna Schoenewolf and Sylvia Vitoulis!
