For the annual Market Day fundraising event at CDE, fifth graders created a variety of products to sell to students and school staff. They also had to create names for their products and "businesses" to display on their tables in the large gym.
Kids could purchase tickets to use as currency (two tickets cost $1) and shop for handmade items costing 1-3 tickets. The wide variety of Market Day products included headbands, slime, dream catchers, piggy banks, sensory tools and small toys.
The Cairo-Durham Universal Pre-K Program will be holding its 9th annual Trike-a-thon on Friday, May 26, 2017. If you would like to contribute, contact Tracy MacGiffert for more information (email@example.com, CDE Room 107).
Since 2009, our little Pre-K program has raised over $15,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital! To help each child currently enrolled in our program earn a Trike-a-Thon T-shirt, we are setting a $1,600 goal this year, with individual goals of $50.
