The 7th Grade students participated in a grade-level gallery walk in Mrs.Trotti's Social Studies Class. The students were tasked with pretending to be colonists to get the word out about the harmful taxes in the colonies after the French and Indian War.
The students developed creative ways to an assigned Act including the phrase ,"No Taxation without Representation." The students were then able to leave comment cards to their fellow peers about all the positive efforts and one piece of information they learned from the poster.

Miss Wagor's class took part in an engaging astronomy project that introduced the concept of space exploration. The project simulates a NASA-inspired experience where students become "student astronauts" tasked with studying the stars and planets.
The project starts with a video featuring Commander Queso, briefing the students on their mission objectives. The students received instructions formatted as a genuine NASA "mission brief," complete with stamps and coffee stains, adding an authentic touch to the experience. Students researched individual planets, exploring their characteristics, compositions, atmospheres, moons, and notable features. They will use this information to create presentations showcasing their findings.
The Cairo-Durham High School Class of 2025 is hosting "Brushes and Bites", a fundraiser where you can paint your own ‘Frosty Friends’ with instruction led by Cairo-Durham art teacher, Mrs. Little, while enjoying some delicious bites.
