SRO Deputy Espel visited with the AM and PM Pre-K students in Ms. MacGifffert's classes this week to speak about Halloween safety!
Students were reminded to stay with their trusted adults, wear well-fitted costumes, and use flashlights and glow sticks to see where they are going and to be seen by others around them, along with the importance of having grown-ups check candy before eating it.
SRO Deputy Espel wants our kids to have fun while they Trick or Treat but make sure the fun is SAFE! Thank you for all you do!
5th Grade students in Ms. Prinz's class have been busy creating models of constellations out of marshmallows and dry pasta as well as "positivity pumpkins"! In the process of both projects, teamwork and building up a strong self-esteem were emphasized. Great job, students!
The Halloween Parade at Cairo-Durham Elementary School is back on Oct. 31 at 1:30 p.m., but with a twist!
This year, families are welcomed to stand along the soccer fields for the parade. If you are picking up your child immediately following the parade, you MUST complete the Halloween pick up form by 10/28 (https://5il.co/1jp59).
Parents/guardians who do not complete the form will wait until the planned pickups are dismissed.
Can't wait to see the Spooky Mustang Pride!
Look at this awesome submission in Ms. Bowen's 3rd Grade class as a part of their "What Am I?" project!
Students were tasked with creatively writing clues for their classmates to guess what they were describing. This submission by Nicole describes her classmates as wearing clothes every day, having different skins and being very good friends!
Great job, Mustangs!
