Congratulations to William Sherburne, our Cairo-Durham High School Student of the Month for April 2022! Not surprisingly, William is pictured here with his music/band teachers Mrs. Clermont and Mrs. Trembacz.  William dazzled our Cairo-Durham community as he impeccably played the role of the Pharaoh in this year’s musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”  He greatly appreciates all of the support, guidance, and time that he has consistently been offered by these two ladies.

William is a Junior this year and has quickly won the hearts of all with his level of diligence, responsibility, effort, integrity, and humor!  He determines to ensure that his academic work is completed to the best of his abilities and he doesn’t stop there.  He is collaborative and caring while participating in band, chorus, Board Game Club, and in regard to both his teachers and his peers.  William is recognized among his peers as being kind, funny, and always willing to lend a hand.

Outside of school, he enjoys both quiet and aggressive activities such as reading, listening to music, hiking, and playing video games.  After high school, William hopes to be a writer of sorts; particularly a screenwriter.  He has traveled across the country to California and although he enjoyed it there, we all hope that he does his writing here on the east coast!  William is such an excellent example to all, he emanates positive and healthy energy, and is an asset in so many ways to our school and community.  We wish him well as he enters his senior year in September of this year, and are thrilled to be able to honor him in this way.  Congratulations William!
