Congratulations to Colin MacGiffert and Zander Santarelli of the Cairo-Durham Varsity Boys Soccer team for being invited to attend the Section II All Star Banquet for Boys Soccer on Dec. 10!
MacGiffert was selected as a Class B First-Team All Star and Santarelli was selected as a Class B Second-Team All Star. They attended the banquet with their coach Noah Warner.
On Tuesday night the Boys JV Basketball Team lost to Hudson and the Boys Varsity Basketball Team lost to Hudson as well by a score of 75-59. The next game for the Mustangs is on Friday at 5:00.
On Tuesday night the Girls Varsity Basketball Team lost to Hudson by a score of 79-41. Their next game is on Friday at Catskill at 5:00.
On Monday, 12/11, the Girls JV Basketball Team lost to Pine Plains in a non-league contest 32-12. Also on Monday, the Varsity Bowling Team lost their first match of the season to Watervliet by a score of 5-0.

Cairo-Durham Central School District Launches “Mustang Monthly Alumni Spotlight”
CAIRO, NY – The Cairo-Durham Central School District is proud to announce the launch of the “Mustang Monthly Alumni Spotlight”.
In an effort to bridge the community and the Cairo-Durham Central School District, this provides an opportunity for community members to nominate members of the Cairo-Durham Class of 2018 or prior who have made an impact in the community, embrace Cairo-Durham pride and serve as role models to future generations of Mustangs to be recognized on the District’s platforms.
“Every day, Cairo-Durham alumni are making a difference in a variety of ways. This platform will allow the District to highlight the efforts, drive and Mustang pride possessed by those who go above and beyond,” said Cairo-Durham Central School District Superintendent Michael Wetherbee.

In an action packed night of basketball on Friday, the Boys Varsity and JV Basketball Teams and the Girls Varsity and JV Basketball Teams all lost their home games to Greenville. Their next games are on Tuesday, 12/12, versus Hudson.

On Thursday the Varsity Bowling Team defeated Chatham by a score of 5-0. The next bowling match is on 12/11 at Watervliet. The Varsity Wrestling Team lost both of their matches last night to Catskill and Maple Hill. On a higher note Vivienne Myers won her first varsity match of the year for the Mustangs with a pin in the first quarter.
Yesterday's Senior Citizen Dinner and Concert at Cairo-Durham High School was a success! Thank you to all of those who attended and made the event possible!

Congratulations to Cairo-Durham High School Senior Colin MacGiffert on his second consecutive year being nominated as the Section II Class B Goalkeeper of the Year for Boys Soccer, along with being named a First-Team All-Star for Section II Class B!
The Cairo-Durham Bowling Team continued their winning ways yesterday afternoon with a 5-0 win over Rensselaer. The Girls JV Basketball Team (32-0), the Boys JV Basketball Team (58-21), and the Boys Varsity Basketball Team (47-33) all lost to Germantown on Tuesday night.
This is a friendly reminder that there will be an early dismissal time of 11:45 a.m. for all Cairo-Durham Middle and High School students with the senior citizen concert and turkey dinner taking place at Cairo-Durham High School at 1 p.m.
