The Girls JV Volleyball Team lost to Catskill yesterday by a score of 2-0 and the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost to Catskill by a score of 3-0. The next volleyball game is on Wednesday at Middleburgh.

The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (#8) will take on Cobleskill-Richmondville (#9) at 3:00 at Cairo-Durham High School in the opening round of Sectionals on Tuesday, 10/17. The Girls Varsity Soccer Team (#9) will travel to Coxsackie to square off against Patroon Conference rival Coxsackie-Athens at 3:00 for their opening round game of Sectionals.

The Cairo Durham Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Germantown today by a score of 5-0. Colin MacGiffert and Wyatt Cammarata combined for the shut out in the goal and Stephen Brandow, Chase Kelly, Zander Santarelli, Andrew Searing Bruke, and Colin MacGiffert all scored goals for the Mustangs.

October 12, 2023 Dear Cairo-Durham Central School District Families, Faculty and Staff, I hope this message finds you all well with the colder weather and changing of the leaves upon us!  I am writing to you today to provide a friendly reminder that Friday, October 13 will be an Early Release Day districtwide for students.  Cairo-Durham Middle and High School will release at 11:45 a.m. Due to the schedule change, there will be no lunch period and no after school activities. Please make sure your student(s) have breakfast. Breakfast will be offered in the cafeteria, per usual. Cairo-Durham Elementary school will release at 12:45 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served, per usual, however there will be no P.M. Pre-K. Thank you very much and have a great weekend! The Cairo Durham Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Watervliet Monday afternoon by a score of 7-0. Goalies Colin MacGiffert and Wyatt Cammarata combined for the shutout and Zander Santarelli (2), Colin MacGiffert (2), Andrew Searing-Burke, Alex Gouza, and Brendan Feeney scored goals for the Mustangs.

The Cairo-Durham Boys Varsity soccer team defeated Chatham Friday afternoon by a score of 2-0. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Oliver Schrull and Nick Olivett. The Girls Varsity Soccer Team lost to Chatham 12-1 on Friday night. The lone Mustang goal was scored by Abby Brandow.

In other sports action the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost to Germantown by a score of 3-0 and the Varsity Football Team lost to Lansingburgh by a score of 53-6.

The Cairo-Durham Varsity Golf team wrapped up their season yesterday at the Catskill Country Club playing in the Patroon Conference Medalist Tournament. The Mustangs performed exceptionally well finishing in 4th place as a team, just one stroke behind 3rd place Maple Hill. Individually, in a field of 30 golfers, Brendan Feeney finished tied for 5th place, Kevin Feeney finished in 8th place, and Marc Camaratta finished in 9th place.

On Senior Day the Girls Varsity Tennis Team defeated Catskill by a score of 5-0 and the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost to Taconic Hills by a score of 3-0. Girls JV Volleyball also lost to Taconic Hills by a score of 2-0.

On Tuesday the Boys Varsity Soccer Team battled Maple Hill to a 2-2 tie in double overtime. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Zander Santarelli and Brendan Feeney. Girls Varsity Tennis lost 4-2, the Girls Varsity Soccer Team lost 11-0, and the Boys JV Soccer Team lost 5-0 to Maple Hill yesterday afternoon. The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost to Germantown 3-1 and their Senior Game is today in the Middle School Gym at 5:00.
