Ms. Maassmann's MS STAR and HS Life Skills classes had the opportunity to listen to Mylene Brandow speak about her 20-plus year career in nursing. Brandow was able to explain the different levels of nursing, educational opportunities locally and abroad and some of her personal experiences.
The Cairo-Durham Central School District will be handing out free Covid-19 test kits in the main lobby of Cairo-Durham Middle School/High School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 15, Dec. 21 and Dec. 22. Please stop by and grab some for you and your family!
The National Honor Society fundraiser poinsettias from Story Nursery have made their way to CDHS! Right in time for the holiday season!
It's the Penny Wars! The CDHS sophomore class has declared a a Penny War amongst all grades in the high school! All proceeds from the fundraiser will
support your favorite CDHS grade levels and a percentage from
each class will be donated to the Greene County Women's League.
How it works: Containers will be located in the Main Office of Cairo-Durham High School until Dec. 16.
Each penny counts as one positive point for your grade level
Each dollar counts as positive points for your grade level. Example: a $1 bill gets you 100 points, $5 bill gets you 500 points, etc.)
Each silver coin counts as negative points for OTHER grade levels. In other words, dropping a quarter in another grade’s bucket takes 25 points from their total.
Points will be tallied and the winning class will win a prize which is to be determined.
Best of luck, high schoolers!
We're holding a districtwide Pink Out on Dec. 15 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness! We are asking everyone in addition to wearing pink, to bring in $1 to be donated to the Greene County Women's League, a local support system for individuals with breast cancer.
