Dear Parents/Guardians,
This letter is to inform you of a change in leadership at Cairo-Durham Middle/High School this fall. Assistant Principal Joe Witazek announced this summer he will be retiring. His last day will be August 27, 2021.
Mr. Witazek has been a valued administrator in our district, always working to support the school community and even stepping in as the interim principal at the elementary school when needed.
The Board of Education appointed Bridget Lopez as the interim assistant principal at its meeting on August 12th. Some of you may already be familiar with Mrs. Lopez, who served as the interim assistant principal at Cairo-Durham Elementary School last year when Mrs. Czech was on maternity leave. Starting on September 1st, Mrs. Lopez will be available for assistance at CDMS/HS. You can contact her at blopez@cairodurham.org or call the main office at 518-622-8543.
