The 6th grade had the opportunity to go to Siuslaw Forest in Acra on Sept. 30 for a highly interactive field trip!
Join us at Cairo-Durham Middle School at 5 p.m. for "Back to School" night followed by the National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony at 7 p.m. Parents will follow their children’s schedule and be able to meet their teachers and learn about all of the classes they are taking.
Local Resident Visits Middle School
Local retiree, Sandra Landron , a lawyer, visited the Middle School STAR program Thursday September 15th to talk about her years as a professional in NYC.
Students enjoyed listening to the hard work and dedication to education that allowed her to enjoy her career. Students learned about the various duties of a lawyer, as well as the fast-paced life in Manhattan.
Last Friday Cairo-Durham Middle School P2 Committee put on our annual Carnival. We have not had the pleasure of partaking in this event in quite some time, but we were so happy to have it back! It is fair to say everyone had a blast, from students to staff, spreading the #PositivityInAction motto.
First day of school is September 6. Please be advised the first day for Middle and High School students will be a DAY 2.
Girls Modified Soccer practice is cancelled today, 8/30, due to the inclement weather. Ms. Gannon is creating a Google Classroom for you to check on practice times and dates.
Modified Sports Practices for 7th and 8th graders starts tomorrow Monday, 8/29. Boys and Girls Modified Cross Country starts at 7:00 AM by the High School Track, Boys Modified Soccer starts at 8:00 AM on the JV Soccer Field, Girls Modified Volleyball starts at 3:00 PM in the Middle School Gym, and Girls Modified Soccer starts at 3:00 PM on the JV Soccer Field.
