2024 Mustang Pride Hall of Fame Nominations Open! Do you know a person or community organization that has given extensive service to the Cairo-Durham Central School District? Nominate them for the Mustang Pride Hall of Fame! To nominate a person or community organization, please use this nomination form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfMg8B8x-nRUYL-EkALeiWsyzpATC10DzL_WNcjTAiiZnQbAA/viewform?usp=sf_link). See below for the criteria. Nominations will be accepted through February 1, 2024. The chosen nominees will be honored at a Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Shamrock House on April 27, 2024. Criteria: Nominees must have contributed to the improvement of Cairo-Durham CSD with extensive service through: academics, athletics, coaching, teaching, administration, employment, volunteerism and/or community service. Nominees can be past or present staff members, school administrators, Board of Education members, alumni and community members or organizations. (Please note that a former student nominee must be out of school for at least 10 years to be considered for induction into the Mustang Pride Hall of Fame.) Some examples of extensive service/support include (but are not limited to): Academics (e.g., teaching, tutoring). Involvement in school athletics (e.g., coaches, officials, volunteers). Mentoring. The Cairo-Durham Middle School and Cairo-Durham Middle School Student Council's Snow Ball Dance will take place on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Cairo-Durham Middle/High School Cafeteria! Pre-sale tickets being sold the week of Jan. 22-25 before morning announcements outside of room B4 are $10. Tickets at the door are $12. Refreshments will be able to be purchased at the dance. Semi-formal attire is highly encouraged. A Snow Ball Court will be crowned, students must be in attendance to be crowned.

On Jan. 5, the Sniffen 4th grade class went “digging” for fossils in chocolate chip cookies and used math to estimate how many fossils they could find!

On March 14, 2024, the Cairo-Durham High School Classes are hosting an 'Elementary Teacher vs. Middle/High School Teacher' basketball game as a fundraiser! Tickets for entrance to the game will be sold, as well as concessions. The CDTA will sell 50/50 tickets, with proceeds toward the CDTA Scholarship fund. The Booster Club will be selling School Merchandise. Monday, Jan. 8, is the last day to make cookie dough orders to support the class of 2026 in their fundraising for their prom next year! These are the available tubs. Any checks can be made out to the Cairo-Durham Class of 2026 and can be submitted up to the end of the school day to a class officer.
